Bill Hays (2011-2012)
Congratulations to Bill Hays for harvesting the largest desert bighorn ram from the White Mountains of California for the 2011 season! Bill booked his hunt with us shortly after trying the hunt on his own with no success. Tim and Cliff along with guides Clay Gibert and Jason Lyman were able to locate this great ram on day two of the hunt. After several hours of “extreme stalking” Bill was able to seal the deal with a shot from his 7MM mag. at 354 yds. Great shooting Bill! His ram was aged at 9 years old and scored 163 5/8”. We hunted at an elevation of 11,000 – 13,000 feet above sea level. This country gives new meaning to the phrase “Breathtaking Views”. The White’s are one of the toughest Desert Sheep hunts you can find but a job well done by one tough hunter.

Mike Hill (2011-2012)
Mike Hill was lucky enough to draw his White Mountain sheep tag as a “First Alternate” in the lottery drawing. He took this handsome ram on opening day at an elevation of 12,000 ft. This was the first ram harvested in California for the 2011-12 season. There were five rams in the group bedded on an open shale slope at a distance of 650 yards. They stayed bedded for 9 hours before getting up and feeding into a canyon. We were then able to close the distance to 140 yards. Great job Mike, congratulations!
