The Crew

Tim Mercier

Tim learned about hunting, fishing and the outdoors from his Dad and Granddad. He has been enjoying the backcountry since he was old enough to walk and hunting since he was old enough to safely carry a gun. For well over 28 years Tim has been packing horses and mules and outfitting big game hunts of one kind or another. In 1995 Tim was fortunate enough to be able to dedicate most of his efforts toward hunting Desert Bighorn Sheep. For the past 37 years he has lived in the Mojave Desert of Southern California, in the heart of Nelson Desert Bighorn Sheep Country.

Hunting and guiding is his passion and his livelihood and he spends the entire year scouting, guiding or hunting. Having served for 12 years as Commander of his local Sheriff's Search and Rescue Posse, he has been trained in tracking, desert survival, map and compass, GPS, and CPR (he can really get you lost). During his career he has had the opportunity to guide and assist hunters of all different levels of experience, from all over the country.. He is a member of the NRA, FNAWS, Grand Slam Club, Arizona Sheep Society, Safari Club International, Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation and Christian Sportsmen's Fellowship.

Grover Dobyns

Grover, affectionately known as "The Watch Dog" is our camp cook.  A quiet easygoing man that you can't help but like from the first minute you meet him.  During the hunts he is responsible for our camp, meals and logistics, as well as being one of our main guides.  His camps are well planned out, neat, clean and organized.   His delicious Hors d'oeuvres and gourmet meals are as good as it gets.  After a long hard day of hunting, Grover's warm smile, great food and campfires are always a welcome sight.   Grover is always there when you need him and we are honored to have him as part of our team.
