I've often wondered
how any person who spends time in the great outdoors
can believe that all its beauty and majesty happened
by accident. The Bible tells us in Romans 1:20 "For
since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities,
His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly
seen, being understood from what has been made, so
that men are without excuse." As I look out over
a vast desert landscape, a high mountain stream, or
snow capped mountains, I am always in awe of the majesty
of creation. God's fingerprint is everywhere proclaiming
His glory.
I am humbled by
such a God as this. A God who sent his beloved son,
Jesus Christ, to die on a cross for each one of us
who believes on Him. Jesus said "I am the way,
the truth and the life. He who believes in me shall
not perish but have everlasting life." I thank
God for the free gift of salvation, forgiveness and
eternal life. I thank the Lord for the great outdoors
and the opportunity to get out and enjoy it as a hunter,
a sportsman and an outdoorsman. I am thankful for
the opportunity to be able to enjoy this lifestyle,
to live my dream and to assist other people in experiencing
nature.
The Bible tells us in Genesis 1:1 "In
the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
I believe that as servants of the Lord and stewards
of the land it is our obligation and responsibility
to conserve and preserve the great outdoors and its
wildlife. Therefore, future generations may enjoy,
love and appreciate that which was given to man freely
- the great outdoors. Thank you, Lord.
